They’ve been a constant influence and always for different reasons. Their songs about domesitc situations were a big influence in the writing for our current record: Afternoon Tea, Shangri-La, for me it doesn’t get better than that. HORST WITH NO NAME :  "Shaky " (LP   -  Part Rds - 2023) (Hambourg, Allemagne )  - Rock'n'roll - Garage L'Allemagne est décidément un pays très actif pour la musique que l'on aime. En octobre dernier est sorti le dernier album de Horst With No Name (ne cherchez pas pour Horst, cela vient de son surnom allemand Horsti, mais le jeu de mot montre que le gars a de l'humour). Eh oui, il s'agit d'un One Man Band... Enfin presque, car il est accompagné cette fois-ci du batteur Flash Ostrock et de Rockabilly Band Eddy à la contrebasse. Ils viennent de Hambourg. THE GEE STRINGS: Speed Soul Racer (LP, Ghost Highway Recordings, Wanda Records, Dangerhouse Skylab, KOTJ Records, OLM, Strychnine Productions. Sept. 2023). (Aachen, Allemagne) Bernadette Pitchi (guitare), Mike (basse, voix), Ingy Pop (chant), Viktor Ramirez (batterie, voix) Sept ans que les Gee Strings n'avaient pas sorti de disque. Un break qui leur a été sacrément bénéfique car ce nouvel opus est une réussite du début à la fin. On The Run  qui ouvre ce mini album (c'est un huit titres) nous plonge tout de suite dans le bain, grosses guitares, bonnes mélodies et ... harmonica ! Chose inhabituelle chez nos teutons keupons, et ça sonne terriblement bien ! Comme si Dr Feelgood avaient enregistré un titre avec les Dead Boys. La suite est du même niveau, de bonnes parties de Rock N'Roll, du Punk façon 77 d'excellente facture (qui rappelle Avengers , comme souvent avec les Gee Strings ) un zest de Glam ici et là, un titre chanté en français et une très bonne production.
