The Smoggers starts our European Tour after playing at Satarsonic Rock Fest, in the Basque Country, we crossed the Pyrenees to start our concerts in France, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. The first stop was Perpignan. We arrived at El Paseo and the Promoter, Lionel, was waiting for us, an affable and kind guy who showed us the room and the stage where we were going to play that night of Sunday, October 13th. The venue was very cool. Rock club, whose perhaps only drawback was being on the outskirts of the city. However, there was a good atmosphere. After the sound check, it was clear that the show was served. Good sound and no technical problems. After a while to rest to check in at the hotel that the promoter reserved for us, we arrived at the place where a succulent dinner was waiting for us that he prepared for us based on baked chicken with garnish. While we finished dinner, the audience began to appear around the room, most of them in rock clothes and with knowledge of who the Smoggers were.
Around 10:00 a.m. and after the local band, Johnny Tramuntana, opened the concert, based on trash garage punk and primitive surf, we went up to the stage to launch our show for about 40 people. Not too much public but very dedicated from the first moment. During the show, after our bombardment of pieces from our new album like "Don't Try to Help me Anymore", "You Got lt", "Looking for a Lie", It's too Late" and other classics tunes, like "She's Wicked ", "Fuzz me in the Cave", "Crazy Land", When you Hold Me", Dracula is Alone"... the respectability went further, in an atmosphere that was very cool and that culminated with our version of the "Strychnine" of the Sonics chanted by everyone who was present. After the show punctuated by constant applause, we got off the stage to chat with the people gathered there, receiving praise, congratulations and many signs of gratitude adorned by autographs of our records sold in the merchandising area, which, as always, was led by our beloved road manager: Vera.
Great Night to start the tour of French lands.
On Monday it was time for Le Petit Jourdan in Limoges. A cave club with overwhelming charm run by a Rock'n'Roll lover who treated us with great kindness from the first minute. At the controls of the sound was Fred Rollcoaster who made that cave sound like a powerful room. After the Back from Grave sound check and staying at the side of the room, we changed our clothes and entered the club to get ready to offer our show. The moment we got on stage the room was filled with a crowd of around 100 people who packed the small place. A non-stop show had the audience engaged throughout the entire performance singing choruses of our songs over and over again. Great experience that night that left a very good feeling in the band. After the concert, dinner and a few more beers before going to sleep to embark on the next day's trip to Brussels (Belgium).

The third of our concerts in France would be on Thursday the 17th in Bourges at the Murrayfield Pub where the host Mike Lesfreres Beat and the owner of the establishment did everything possible to make that Thursday night unforgettable. After a grand dinner we toasted before the show and the pub was filled with people who came to see us and also with people who were passing by and, in response to the curiosity and the sound of our songs, they came to digest the show as improvised spectators. Great concert and end of our time in France. The next morning we crossed eastern France bound for Geneva, Switzerland. Without a doubt, we will return to our neighboring country very soon and with great enthusiasm. Coming back to France, see you next spring.. Voila!
