10 YEARS OF CHAPUTA: THE NOMADS / THE MAHARAJAS
Le label portugais Chaputa! Records fête ses dix ans cette année. Nous lui souhaitons un très bon anniversaire et l'encourageons à continuer dans ce qu'il fait. Pour souffler les bougies, nous avons demandé aux groupes qui ont collaboré, ou collaborent encore aujourd'hui, avec Esgar et son équipe de nous écrire quelques lignes.

Chaputa! they seem to be cool people who are very dedicated to what they’re doing. We gave them a couple of already released songs for an EP but we’ve never met in person. You should ask my friend Jens Lindberg (of the Maharajas and many 80s garage bands) - he’s been doing a lot of projects with Chaputa!
Back in 2012 a nice guy called Esgar contacted us and wondered if we wanted to be the first band to release a record on his and his friends newly started record company Chaputa! Records. We immediately said ’yes’ and the rest is history. During our 10 years of close work together Esgar, Rui and Themoteo helped us in the most professional way to release original albums, singles and also various compilations.
Over the years we’ve never met in person but these guys really know how to push records, not only through clever social media campaigns but also through posters, stickers and merch. We’ll never forget when they made 500 Maharajas condoms that we was supposed to have as merch on a tour but unfortunately they got lost in post.
Hats off for the Chaputa! Records!
